Seated exercises (gentle) for the more mature movers


This is a 45 minute seated class with a 10 minute warm up, working to music suitable for the age group, mobilising all the major muscle groups. We then work harder into the arms and legs, using balls, scarves and beanbags to help with specific areas such as muscular strength, flexibility, mobility, balance and agility. These are all important for daily life especially for the older person. At the end of the session I do a cool down and stretch concentrating on posture and breathing. I make the classes as varied and as much fun as possible so that the residents enjoy them and come back for more.
